In today's special story, we take you to Sanasra Gram Panchayat under Rampur Bushahr Tehsil in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla district. The panchayat was formed just five years ago and is now looking forward to a new phase of development under its newly elected leadership.

In the recent Gram Panchayat elections, local residents elected Pushpa Modi as the village Pradhan with a decisive majority, securing 618 votes. After years of limited development in the region, villagers have placed high hopes in the new woman leader to improve infrastructure and public services.

Speaking about her vision, Pushpa Modi said her primary focus will be the overall development of the village. She plans to transform Sanasra into a fully digital panchayat, improve governance through technology, and work towards establishing a hospital to provide better healthcare services for local residents.

She also pledged to repair and upgrade village roads to improve connectivity and make daily commuting easier for people living in the area.

Despite having several panchayat representatives over the years, residents say Sanasra has witnessed very little development, making this election a significant opportunity for change. The community now hopes that the new leadership will bring long-awaited progress and improved living standards.
