A man allegedly attacked his elder brother with a knife during an ongoing dispute over a plot in Vikas Nagar, Bahadurgarh, leaving him seriously injured.
According to the complaint filed by the injured man, Tejbir, he had been involved in a dispute with his younger brother Mukesh over the plot for around three months.
The incident reportedly took place at around 1 a.m. on August 30, when Tejbir was sleeping at his home. According to the complaint, Mukesh entered the house and allegedly attacked him with a knife, striking him on the neck and face.
Tejbir reportedly sustained three knife wounds in the attack. His screams alerted their father, Rajpal, who woke up and allegedly chased Mukesh. The accused reportedly fled to the rooftop via the stairs and escaped by jumping from the roof.
Rajpal then sought the help of a passerby and took the injured Tejbir to a government hospital. After providing first aid, doctors referred him to PGIMS, Rohtak, for further treatment.
Tejbir has sought legal action against his younger brother.
Ashok, the investigating officer at Linepar Police Station, said a case has been registered against the accused and an investigation is underway.
