President Droupadi Murmu was accorded a warm welcome on her arrival in Bilaspur on Tuesday, where she attended the first convocation ceremony of AIIMS Bilaspur.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu welcomed the President by presenting her with a bouquet. Special security arrangements were put in place across Bilaspur in view of the President’s visit.
The first convocation of AIIMS Bilaspur marked a significant milestone for the institute. During the ceremony, President Murmu conferred degrees on students who had successfully completed their respective courses.
She also presented gold medals to students who excelled in their academic performance. For the graduating students, receiving their degrees and medals from the President was a memorable occasion.
The convocation was attended by students, their family members and senior officials of AIIMS Bilaspur. The ceremony celebrated the academic achievements of the institute’s first graduating batches and marked an important chapter in the journey of AIIMS Bilaspur.
