Punjab Government's Department of Personnel has transferred and posted 10 IAS officers of the 2024 batch following the completion of their Phase-II training. The appointments have been made in view of administrative requirements and will take effect immediately.

According to orders issued by Punjab Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha, the officers have been posted as Officers on Special Duty (OSD), Urban Development, in various districts across the state. They will work alongside the respective Deputy Commissioners (DCs).

The newly posted IAS officers have returned after successfully completing their Phase-II training and will now assist district administrations in matters related to urban development. The move is aimed at improving administrative coordination and ensuring the effective implementation of government schemes and development projects in urban areas.

As part of their responsibilities, the officers are expected to monitor urban development initiatives, coordinate with various government departments and local bodies, and track the progress of development works at the district level. They will function under the guidance and supervision of the respective Deputy Commissioners.

The government believes that the deployment of these young officers will help strengthen governance, enhance project execution, and improve service delivery in urban areas across Punjab.
