A Punjab-origin man has been arrested in California for allegedly running a major drug trafficking operation under the guise of a pizza restaurant business. The accused, identified as Kanwalpreet, is accused of using pizza deliveries as a front to distribute cocaine and other narcotics across the region.
According to law enforcement officials, the suspect had built an extensive drug distribution network while operating the restaurant. Investigators claim he supplied cocaine and methamphetamine through a well-organized chain that generated significant illegal profits.
Acting on intelligence inputs, authorities conducted coordinated raids at multiple locations linked to the accused. During the operation, officers seized approximately 40 kilograms of cocaine, several illegal firearms and a substantial amount of cash in US dollars.
Officials said the recovery of weapons suggests the operation may have been connected to a broader criminal network. Investigators are now working to identify additional suspects and trace the source and destination of the seized narcotics.
Authorities also revealed that the accused was allegedly residing in the United States without valid immigration documents and had concealed his activities behind the restaurant business for years. If convicted, he could face life imprisonment along with hefty financial penalties under US drug trafficking laws.
