In a shocking incident in Ludhiana, Punjabi singer Inder Kaur, also known as Yashinder Kaur, was found murdered after allegedly being kidnapped at gunpoint six days ago. Her body was recovered from the Neelo canal on Tuesday morning around 11 am.

According to police and family members, the 29-year-old singer had been missing since May 13. The family alleged that she was abducted at gunpoint and was being forced into marriage by the accused. They claim she was killed after refusing the proposal.

As per her brother’s statement, Inder Kaur had left home around 6:30 pm on May 13 in her car to purchase household items but never returned. The family later launched a search operation and lodged a police complaint after failing to contact her.

During the investigation, police reportedly found that the singer knew a man identified as Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of Moga who is currently based in Canada.

The victim’s family alleged that the accused was already married and had children, yet continued pressuring the singer to marry him. They further claimed that the accused fled abroad after orchestrating the crime and accused him of planning the entire conspiracy from Canada.

Police have launched an investigation into the murder and are probing all angles related to the alleged kidnapping and forced marriage pressure.
