Weather conditions in Himachal Pradesh are expected to change again during the final days of September, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a weather warning for September 26.
According to the weather bulletin issued on September 24, heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in the state on September 26. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are also expected during the period.
The IMD has forecast strong winds with speeds of 30–40 kmph, particularly during thunderstorm activity. Residents, especially those in hilly areas, have been advised to remain cautious as sudden weather changes could create hazardous conditions.
Heavy rainfall may lead to slippery roads and localized landslides in vulnerable hilly areas. However, the latest bulletin does not mention the closure of any specific road in the state.
Authorities and commuters in affected areas are advised to stay alert and exercise caution while travelling during periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
