Rotaract Club installed at RBU

MOHALI: Rotaract Club, sponsored by Rotary Club of Rupnagar, has been installed at Rayat Bahra University. At the installation ceremony of the club the Chief Guest was Rotary’s PDG Er Manmohan Singh, member of Punjab Infrastructure Regulatory Authority (PIRA), Rotary’s PDG Dr. R. S. Parmar was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.

The event was jointly presided over by Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the University, and Rotary Roopnagar’s President Rtn Adv Harsimar Singh Sitta, who is an Assistant Advocate General of Punjab.
Anshu Gauba, Head of the University School of Management, was the Master of Ceremony. During the ceremony the guests present adorned the collar to newly formed Rotaract Club’s first President, Rotaractor Pallavi Kaushal and pinned with Rotaract lapel pins all the Board Members.

PP Rtn Prof B S Satyal, Registrar RBU, in his welcome address spoke about the objectives of Rotary and Rotaract club. Dr Parvinder Singh on his own behalf and on behalf of Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra welcomed the dignitaries and congratulated the students who became Rotaract members.

President of Rotary Rupnagar Harsimar Singh Sitta informed the audience about the community service projects undertaken by Rotary Roopnagar and RI’s theme for the Rotary year 2021-22 i.e. “Serve to Change Lives”.

DRCC Rtn Mohit Singla announced to hold an orientation seminar about Rotaract soon at the University campus.

PDG Er Manmohan Singh in his address explained to the students the true definition of a leader in Rotary’s perspective and called upon the youth to join the Rotary movement through Rotaract Clubs to do good in the society.

He requested the management of the university to include all international students of the university and to enroll themselves with Rotary through Rotaract, who can do community service for the downtrodden.
