Haryanvi dancer and singer Sapna Choudhary has filed a petition in Delhi's Dwarka Women's Court against her husband and Haryanvi singer Veer Sahu, accusing him of physical assault and mental harassment.
During the preliminary hearing held on Tuesday, the court granted interim relief to Sapna Choudhary. The court directed Veer Sahu not to contact her, visit her residence or workplace, or harass her directly or indirectly until the next hearing.
Sapna reportedly submitted video, audio, and other electronic evidence before the court. After reviewing the material, the court found the matter fit for further hearing and fixed the next date of hearing for July 25.
According to sources, Sapna has been living separately from her husband following escalating marital disputes and is currently staying at her parental home near the Dwarka Expressway area.
Sapna Choudhary and Veer Sahu got married in Punjab in 2020 and have two sons. Sapna belongs to Hisar district in Haryana, while Veer Sahu is also a well-known name in the Haryanvi music industry.
The court has currently issued an interim protection order, and the case will now be heard again on July 25, when both sides are expected to present their arguments and evidence. Attempts were reportedly made to contact Sapna Choudhary for her response, but she declined to comment on the matter.
