Schedule for RIMC entrance test announced

CHANDIGARH: The written entrance examination for admission to the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun (Uttrakhand) for January, 2022 term will be conducted at Lala Lajpat Rai Bhawan, Sector-15, Chandigarh on June 5th, 2021 (Saturday).

Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Directorate of Defence Services Welfare, Punjab informed that the applications duly completed must reach Directorate Defence Services Welfare, Punjab, Sainik Bhawan, Sector 21-D, Chandigarh on or before April, 15, 2021. Applications received after April 15, 2021 would not be entertained.

The spokesperson informed that only boys are eligible to apply for the admission to the RIMC, Dehradun. Candidates appearing for the above test should not be less than 11½ years in age but should not have attained the age of 13 years as on January 01, 2022 i.e. they should have born not earlier than January 01, 2009 and not later than July 01, 2010. They should either be studying in Class VII or passed Class VII from any recognized school at the time of admission to the RIMC i.e. on 1st Jan, 2022. Selected candidates will be given admission in Class-VIII. The written part of the examination will consist of three papers namely, English, Mathematics & General Knowledge. Minimum pass marks in each paper including interview will be 50%. The viva-voce test will be held for only those candidates who qualify in the written exam & the date for the viva-voce test has been fixed as on October 06, 2021 (Tuesday).

The spokesperson further informed that copies of the application forms with prospectus and set of old question papers can be obtained from the Commandant RIMC Dehradun (U.K) on payment of Rs.600/- for General Candidates and Rs.555/- for SC/ST candidates alongwith cast certificate through demand draft in favour of The Commandant RIMC Dehradun payable at SBI, Tel Bhavan (Code-01576) Dehradun. The spokesperson also informed that the prospects-cum-application forms and set of old question papers can also be obtained by making online payment of Rs.600/- for General Candidates and Rs.555/- for SC/ST candidates on RIMC website www.rimc.gov.in.

Application in duplicate in prescribed form and five passport size photographs, Birth Certificate, state domicile certificate and certificate from Principal of the school, in original with photograph affixed on it duly attested, stating date of birth and class in which the student is studying.
