Indian stock market continued its upward momentum on Tuesday, November 3, with both benchmark indices trading firmly in the green. The BSE Sensex surged over 900 points to trade at around 76,600, while the NSE Nifty gained nearly 250 points, crossing the 23,700 mark.
Strong buying interest was witnessed in banking, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and information technology (IT) stocks, which contributed significantly to the market's gains.
The rally follows another strong session on Monday, November 2, when domestic equity markets recorded substantial gains. The Sensex jumped 1,233 points to close at 75,693, while the Nifty advanced 388 points to settle at 23,440.
With Tuesday's gains, the domestic stock market extended its positive momentum for the second consecutive trading session, as investors continued to show buying interest across major sectors.
