Tata Motors has launched the all-new Aeris sedan, introducing a fresh identity for its compact sedan range and replacing the long-running Tigor nameplate. The new Aeris arrives with updated styling, a redesigned cabin, enhanced features, and petrol as well as CNG powertrain options.
The Aeris is a sub-4-metre compact sedan that is based on the existing Tigor platform but has been rebranded and refreshed to appeal to a new generation of buyers. While the underlying architecture and powertrain options remain largely unchanged, Tata Motors has focused on modernizing the vehicle’s design and feature list.
The exterior receives several styling updates, while the cabin has been revamped with a new dashboard layout. One of the key highlights is a large free-standing infotainment touchscreen paired with a fully digital instrument cluster, giving the sedan a more premium and contemporary feel.
Safety continues to be a major focus for Tata Motors. The Aeris comes equipped with six airbags and a range of other safety features, backed by the company’s reputation for building strong and durable vehicles.
The new sedan is expected to compete with rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze in the highly competitive compact sedan segment. Tata Motors is offering the Aeris with both petrol and iCNG powertrain options, while an electric version is also expected to be added to the lineup at a later stage.
Tata Motors has announced introductory ex-showroom prices starting at ₹5.29 lakh for the petrol manual variant and ₹6.29 lakh for the iCNG manual version. The top-spec Accomplished variant is priced at ₹8.19 lakh for the petrol manual and ₹9.19 lakh for the iCNG manual.
The Aeris is available in five variants—Smart, Pure, Pure Plus, Creative, and Accomplished—giving customers a wide range of options across both petrol and CNG models.
