Three men from Chandigarh have been arrested in Himachal Pradesh's Kotkhai after police allegedly recovered narcotic substances, including heroin and crystal meth, from their possession.
The accused have been identified as 24-year-old Sahil Dhal of Sector 40-A, 27-year-old Gaurav Thakur of Sector 23-C, and 31-year-old Vikaran Sharma of Sector 42-B, Chandigarh.
According to police, a team from Kotkhai Police Station was conducting routine patrols in the Hulli area when they stopped and searched a vehicle carrying the suspects. During the search, officers allegedly recovered 6.50 grams of chitta (heroin) and 6 grams of crystal meth.
Following the seizure, all three individuals were taken into custody. A case has been registered at Kotkhai Police Station under FIR No. 51/2026 under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act.
The accused were produced before a local court, which remanded them to police custody for further investigation. Police are continuing to probe the source and intended destination of the seized narcotics.
