Ludhiana Police’s Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) has arrested two brothers for alleged drug trafficking and recovered 1.021 kg of heroin along with ₹41,700 in suspected drug money from their possession.
According to police, the accused had been involved in the narcotics trade for a long time. ANTF In-charge Sub-Inspector Naresh Kumar said the team received a tip-off on Sunday that two men were arriving in the Dugri-Dhandra Road area to supply drugs. Acting on the information, police conducted a raid and detained two suspects from the area.
The arrested accused have been identified as Arvind Pal (31) and Akhilesh Kumar (37), who are real brothers. During the investigation, police found that Akhilesh Kumar has 17 cases registered against him at various police stations in Ludhiana, while Arvind Pal faces six criminal cases.
Police said the cases against the accused include drug trafficking, assault, and other serious offences. Further investigation is underway, and both suspects are b
