Two young men from Himachal Pradesh were critically injured in a late-night hit-and-run accident in the Simbal Chowk area of Pathankot after a speeding car struck their motorcycle from behind. The driver of the car fled the scene immediately after the collision.

According to reports, the victims were riding motorcycle HP 97A 8760 and were returning to their village, Dahkulada in Himachal Pradesh, after visiting Novelty Mall. The accident occurred near Raj Hospital at Simbal Chowk, where a fast-moving Alto car reportedly rammed into their bike from behind.

Eyewitnesses said the impact was so severe that both riders were thrown onto the road, suffering serious injuries. The car driver escaped with the vehicle before authorities arrived.

Local residents rushed to help the injured youths and shifted them to a nearby private hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Their condition is reported to be critical.

The injured have been identified as Ritik and Rohan, residents of Dahkulada village in Himachal Pradesh. Police have registered the case, initiated an investigation, and launched a search operation to trace the absconding car driver.
