A tragic road accident in Haryana's Jind claimed the lives of two friends of a groom who were on their way to attend a wedding procession. The victims were travelling in an Ertiga car to a village in the Uchana area along with seven other passengers.

The accident occurred near Baroda village on the Delhi–Patiala National Highway after the vehicle's tyre reportedly burst, causing the driver to lose control.

Eyewitnesses said the car overturned three to four times before crashing into pipes lying on the roadside, leaving the vehicle completely mangled.

All seven other occupants sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Civil Hospital in Uchana by police. Doctors declared Ankush from Chhatar village and Deepak from Karsindhu village dead on arrival.

The injured have been identified as Manish (23), Ankit (22), Ashu (23), and Kala (25), all residents of Chhatar village, while the identities of three other injured persons are yet to be confirmed.
