In a commendable initiative to enhance driving skills and promote road safety among the general public, Haryana Police has launched a new social media campaign. Under this initiative, informative videos are being uploaded on Haryana Police's social media handles to educate the public about driving skills and the importance of adhering to traffic rules.

Positive Impact: Decrease in Road Accidents

The Haryana Police's efforts in promoting road safety have yielded positive results. Compared to the previous year, there has been a significant decrease in the number of road accidents, fatalities, and injuries by the end of March 2024. The state has witnessed a decline of 150 road accidents, 48 fatalities, and 148 injuries, said Haryana Police Director General Shatrujeet Kapur.Harnessing Social Media for Outreach"Social media is a powerful tool to reach a large audience, especially in today's digital age," said Haryana Police Director General Shatrujeet Kapur. "Our informative video clips, uploaded daily on our social media platforms, provide the public with practical techniques for safe driving and accident prevention."

These meticulously crafted videos explain driving maneuvers and safety precautions in clear, easy-to-understand language. They cover a wide range of topics, including lane discipline, responsible driving habits for young people, blind spot awareness, helmet use, proper use of pedestrian crossings, speed limits, parking regulations, and the importance of following traffic rules.
