YUBA CITY, US: The President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) Manjit Singh GK was attacked in Yuba City of California state in USA allegedly by radical Sikhs who blamed SAD(Badal) leaders responsible for sacrilege of Guru Grnath Sahib in Punjab.

Over 100 incidents of sacrilege of holy scripture of Sikhs occured during rule of former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal. The Badal family is under attack by Sikh community for hurting their religious sentiments. Justice Ranjit Singh panel appointed by present Congress government has pointed finger at Badals for sacrilege incidents and killing of two innocent Sikhs during a protest at Bargari in Kapurthala district.

Manjit Singh GK who is also president of Shiromaji Akali Dal(SAD) Delhi unit was earlier attacked in New York where pro-khalistan slogans were raised and he was accused for being part of the conspiracy with Badals. GK is considered close to Sukhbir Singh Badal.

The reports said that one of the associate of GK was injured while latter was pushed to ground and given blows and kicks outside a Sikh shrine. GK was saved by other SAD leaders accompanying him. The police was informed and four persons were arrested for the attack.

GK who had travelled to California following a visit to New York, said the purpose of his visit was to hold discussions among the Sikh community about the 550th birthday anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak, to be commemorated next year.

GK was visiting the main Gurudwara in Yuba City, California yesterday when, he said, a group of 30-35 people supporting the 'Khalistan 2020 referendum' attacked him."I am hurt. They pushed me and kicked me brutally. It was a brutal murderous attack," he told media.
