No bank will auction loan defaulting projects in Haryana

CHANDIGARH: In a landmark judgment, the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA) has ensured that no bank or financing agency would auction or sell a loan defaulting project to recover adjustment of the allottees dues.

Its Chairman K.K. Khandelwal said there has been a rampant increase of complaints in which a peculiar trend was noticed where promoters mortgage their project, land or structure as well as all receivables from the sold and unsold inventory to lend organisations or financial institutions, banks or creditors in order to attain bank loans to fund the construction costs for developing the projects.

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Police has suitably disposed off the grievances of 93% of the people who submitted their complaints to Anil Vij, Home Minister.

Giving this information here today, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), Navdeep Singh Virk said that a total of 9,384 complaints related to Police, CID, HAP, IRB, Railways and other units were received at Police headquarters through the Home Minister Office, since assuming office. Out of these, 8,755 complaints have already been resolved and 629 are under process.

As many as 7,80,867 farmers have so far registered 43,08,444.97 acres on the portal.
