Senior IAS officer and District Administrative Secretary Vikas Gupta, accompanied by DC Prashant Panwar, visited the Kaithal additional Grain Market, Kalayat Mandi, and silos on Monday. Instructing officials, Sh. Gupta emphasized the swift lifting of wheat to prevent congestion in the mandis. During the visit, he also engaged with Aadhtiyas and farmers, attentively addressing their concerns.
He said that there must be no laxity in the lifting process, otherwise action will be taken against the concerned transporter and officer as per regulations. Ensuring timely payment for farmers' crops is paramount. Nodal officers are urged to fulfill their duties diligently and maintain vigilance over the procurement procedure.
Administrative Secretary Vikas Gupta also personally assessed the moisture content of the crop using a moisture measuring device. He further instructed to ensure cleanliness and provision of basic amenities in the market. Sh Gupta urged Aadhtiyas to extend their full cooperation in the wheat procurement process to mitigate any inconvenience to farmers. During his inspection of the silos, he directed officials to implement measures to reduce waiting times for farmers, ensuring efficient operations.
