Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur wins Dehra assembly seat

Congress candidate and Himachal Pradesh Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's wife Kamlesh Thakur has won the assembly bypoll from the Dehra constituency by defeating Hoshyar Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
According to the Election Commission, Kamlesh Thakur was leading by 9,399 votes against her nearest rival in the final round of counting. Thakur had polled 32,737 votes while the BJP candidate had secured 23,338 votes.
Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Ashish Sharma won the Hamirpur Assembly bypoll by over 1,571 votes. Sharma defeated Dr Pushpinder Verma of the Congress by 1,433 votes. Ashish Sharma had polled 26617 votes while the Congress candidate Pushpendra Verma had secured 25184 votes.
Congress Hardeep Bawa won the Nalagarh Assembly bypoll by over 8,990 votes. Bawa defeated Kl Thakur of the BJP by 8,990 votes. Hardeep Bawa had polled 34608 votes while the BJP candidate KL Thakur had secured 25618 votes.
