Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh:
The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann, continues its commitment to good governance and citizen-centric administration by cracking down on delays and inefficiencies that foster corruption. The Chief Secretary of Punjab has issued a strong directive to all departments, seeking detailed information regarding pending applications related to citizen services.
AAP leader Neel Garg, in a statement issued to the media, praised this initiative as a testament to the Punjab Government's active model of governance and its dedication to serving the public efficiently. He emphasized that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's government is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring justice and transparency for the people of Punjab.
In a letter to all the departments of the Punjab Government, the Chief Secretary said that delays in processing applications for various public services are a major source of corruption in governance. The letter further warns that if the desired information is not received correctly by 11:00 AM on March 26, 2025, it will be presumed that the concerned officers, including the Secretary of the department, are deliberately suppressing the data and promoting corrupt practices.
