Abohar police have busted a major gangster network and arrested 12 accused during a late-night raid at a salon near Fazilka Road Chungi on Monday, June 30. The action led to the recovery of illegal weapons and drugs.

Police said a total of 20 people have been named in the case, and an FIR has been registered under serious sections of the law.

The arrested accused have been identified as Ajay Singh alias Aju, Bobby, Amanpreet Singh alias Bhindi, Aman Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Ajay Kumar alias Rishi, Ghanaiya Kumar, Sumit Kumar, Prince Kumar, Shiva, Shivam, and Navneendar Singh alias Lovepreet alias Sinni.

Several others, including alleged gangster Vishal Pachar, salon operator Monu Nai, Akash alias Prince Talli, Lalit Ram, Mithun, Ravi alias Doctor, Sanjeev alias Aalu, and Roshan Kumar, have been named and are currently absconding.

During the raid, police recovered four pistols, six magazines, 47 live cartridges, and 100 grams of heroin.

Officials said the accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Arms Act, and NDPS Act.

Police said all 12 arrested accused will be produced in court and taken on remand for further investigation to uncover the full network and supply chain.

Officials added that the accused were allegedly linked to notorious gangster Vishal Pachar of Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, and were operating an illegal arms and drug supply network on his directions.

Police teams are continuing raids to arrest the remaining accused.
