AAP Punjab chief Aman Arora launches an emotional counterattack on Ravneet Singh Bittu, accusing him of hypocrisy, personal mudslinging, and misuse of political power while defending his family and late father during a heated press conference.

In a strongly worded and emotional press conference on Thursday, AAP Punjab president and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora fiercely rejected all allegations levelled against him by Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu and accused him of lowering the level of political discourse in Punjab.

Arora said that while the Aam Aadmi Party government is committed to ensuring peaceful and fair municipal elections across Punjab, the alleged conduct of Bittu in Dhuri and Sangrur reflected “goondaism and indiscipline” that was unacceptable for a person holding a constitutional post.

Reacting sharply to Bittu allegedly calling him a “kaput” (unworthy son), Arora became emotional and said, “Don’t lecture me on family and sacrifice. I defended my mother and I have no regrets.” He added that if anyone wanted to know whether he was a worthy son or not, they should ask his late father or his mother, who is currently recovering after surgery at Fortis Hospital.

Speaking about his late father Bhagwan Das Arora, Aman Arora revealed that his father had died by suicide due to depression. He claimed that the emotional trauma within the family had deeply affected his father and accused Bittu of repeating politically motivated allegations prepared by others with personal vendettas against his family.

Targeting Bittu over his remarks on Punjab Police, Arora accused the Union Minister of double standards. He questioned how Bittu could publicly insult Punjab Police personnel while allegedly helping his own brother secure a direct DSP appointment during the Congress government in 2017.

Arora also invoked the legacy of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh and questioned why only one family allegedly benefited from exceptional appointments while several other families affected in the same terror attack were left struggling for justice.

The AAP leader further accused Bittu of using offensive political language despite holding a ministerial position at the Centre. He said the people of Punjab were closely watching the political conduct and statements being made during the civic election atmosphere.

Responding to allegations linked to transport business disputes and legal matters, Arora said the accusations were rooted in old family conflicts. He maintained that any punishment he faced came while protecting his mother during an alleged assault and added that he had no remorse for standing by his family.

Arora also dismissed allegations regarding his residence in Chandigarh, saying he had never illegally occupied a government bungalow or misused public resources. He indirectly accused Bittu of enjoying government privileges for years while questioning others’ integrity.
