Apple has unveiled its new iPhone 18 Pro series along with its first-ever foldable iPhone, named iPhone Duo, at its annual launch event. The company also introduced new Apple Watch models and AirPods 5.
In a major change this year, Apple did not launch the standard iPhone 18 model. In India, the iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at ₹1,79,900. Both models will be available in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage variants. Pre-orders will begin on September 12, with sales starting September 18.
New iPhone 18 Pro models feature the A20 Pro chip, improved AI capabilities, a Variable Aperture camera, a smaller Dynamic Island, longer battery life and enhanced cooling. The A20 Pro is based on an advanced 2-nanometre (2nm) platform, making the devices faster and more power-efficient.
Apple has also entered the foldable smartphone market with the iPhone Duo, reportedly after years of development. The device features a book-style design and a premium titanium hinge. With a starting price of ₹2,99,900 in India, Apple is set to compete directly with major foldable smartphone makers such as Samsung and Huawei.
