Ayodhya is celebrating its 10th Deepotsav on a grand scale, with more than 30 lakh earthen lamps illuminating 56 ghats along the banks of the Sarayu River. The celebrations have turned the holy city into a spectacular display of lights, with grand laser shows being organised at Ram Ki Paidi and Sarayu Ghat.

Earlier, a nearly three-hour-long procession was taken out in the city, featuring 21 tableaux depicting different episodes from the seven kandas of the Ramayana. The procession attracted considerable attention from devotees and visitors.

The ghats have been decorated with colourful lights, while elaborate arrangements have been made to illuminate the riverfront with millions of traditional earthen lamps.
