At the ongoing 37th Surajkund International Craft Mela in Faridabad, "Baba Ji ka Bioscope" has become a special attraction for tourists as it showcases various monuments from across the country in one place through that lens.
“Baba ji Ka Bioscope” is a rotating bioscope showcasing reminiscent of old-time movies, images of forts, the Taj Mahal, etc. Cherry on the cake is the ‘Darshan’ of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya which tourists can view and are excited about. These bioscopes are set up at four places at the Mela and in the local language also known as 'Barah Mann ki Dhoban', he added.
Apart from this, the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare has also set up a stall at the Surajkund Mela displaying variety of handmade products showcased for sale at reasonable prices at the Mela.
Notably, these products are made by girls and women under training in the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare, where free training in sewing, embroidery, knitting, beauty care, etc. is being imparted. This helps women to become self-reliant along with this, they can also avail government's loan facility to start up their own venture.
