Panic gripped in Mohali after Paragon School in Sector 71, Shivalik School, Vivek High School and Gian Jyoti School in Phase 2 reportedly received bomb threats.
Taking the threats seriously, the school administrations immediately shut the campuses as a precautionary measure and began sending students home. Parents were informed about the situation through messages issued by the respective schools.
In a message to parents, the school administration said the decision to close the school was taken due to an immediate security concern. Parents of students who travel in private vehicles were asked to collect their children from the school reception.
The latest threat received by Paragon School has added to concerns among students, parents and school staff. Police and security agencies are carrying out checks at the school premises and investigating the source of the threat.
