Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Saturday. During the visit, he also met BJP National President J. P. Nadda.

According to sources, Captain Amarinder Singh expressed concern over not being given proper hearing within the party. His meeting comes amid growing political speculation over his next move, especially after he reportedly voiced displeasure over the appointment of Kanwar Singh Dhillon as the new Punjab BJP chief.

The development has fueled fresh political buzz about a possible return to the Congress. Recently, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had stated that Captain Amarinder Singh remains in touch with him and described him as a senior colleague and close friend.

Hooda’s remarks further intensified speculation that efforts may be underway to bring Captain Amarinder Singh back into the Congress fold.

The discussion gained momentum as Captain has recently been seen speaking positively about the Congress leadership, adding to the political uncertainty surrounding his next step.
