Government of India has officially issued a notification renaming Adampur Airport as Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji Airport, Adampur, marking a significant step in honouring the revered saint and social reformer. The historic decision has been widely welcomed by millions of devotees of Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji across Punjab as well as in India and abroad.

Reacting to the announcement, BJP Punjab Core Committee member Avinash Chander Kler expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing the decision as a tribute to the enduring teachings of Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji, who championed equality, brotherhood and humanity.

Kler said that Guru Ravidas Ji’s philosophy and spiritual message have played a vital role in promoting social harmony and uniting people beyond caste and social divisions. He added that dedicating Adampur Airport in the saint’s name reflects respect for the sentiments of millions of devotees around the world.

He further stated that the renaming of the airport will inspire future generations to learn from Guru Ravidas Ji’s ideals and his message of human welfare, compassion and social justice.

Praising Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership and commitment to preserving the legacy of India’s great saints, Kler said the decision is a matter of pride and honour for the people of Punjab and the global Ravidasia community.
