Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has taken strict disciplinary action after a video showing a cow caretaker allegedly massaging two civic employees during duty hours at the Raipur Kalan gaushala went viral on social media.

Following the controversy, the Municipal Corporation dismissed Sanitary Inspector Eshu Singla and Multi-Tasking Worker Gaurav with immediate effect. In addition, regular Sanitary Jamadar Sucha Singh has been placed under suspension.

Viral visuals purportedly showed the sanitary inspector and the multi-tasking worker lying on a bench inside the gaushala premises while a cow caretaker massaged their hands and legs during working hours.

After the incident came to light, the Municipal Corporation's Medical Officer of Health (MOH) ordered disciplinary proceedings. The civic body also issued a written notice to the outsourcing agency directing it to terminate the services of the two outsourced employees immediately.

The incident has once again raised questions over the management, supervision, and accountability at the Raipur Kalan gaushala, with calls for stricter monitoring of staff conduct within municipal facilities.
