Fuel prices have increased once again in Punjab and Chandigarh, putting additional pressure on consumers already dealing with rising expenses. Petrol prices were raised by ₹2.60 per litre, while diesel became costlier by ₹2.70 per litre.

With the latest hike, Chandigarh has witnessed petrol prices crossing the ₹100 per litre mark for the first time. Petrol in the city is now being sold at ₹101.53 per litre after a hike of ₹2.50, while diesel prices have risen by ₹2.53 to reach ₹89.63 per litre.

In Punjab, petrol prices have climbed to ₹105.44 per litre, while diesel is now retailing at ₹95.38 per litre.

Mohali recorded the highest petrol price in the region, with rates touching ₹105.99 per litre. This is the fourth fuel price increase in recent days, following earlier hikes on May 15, May 19, and May 23.

Over the past 10 days alone, petrol prices in Punjab have increased by a total of ₹7.25 per litre, while diesel prices have gone up by ₹7.55 per litre, significantly impacting transportation and household budgets.
