Chandigarh Police Headquarters on Monday ordered the transfer and reassignment of five Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) with immediate effect as part of an administrative reshuffle carried out in the public interest. The transfers were approved by the competent authority.
According to the official orders, DSP Amrao Singh has been shifted from the Training Branch and appointed as DSP, High Court Security. DSP Sukhwinder Pal Singh Sondhi has been transferred from High Court Security and posted as SDPO Central.
DSP Sita Devi, who is currently serving as DSP Community Policing and DSP (Administration), has been given the additional charge of DSP Welfare.
Meanwhile, DSP (ORP) Manju Sharma has been transferred from the Welfare Centre and appointed as DSP Lines and Training. DSP (ORP) Sukhdeep Singh has been moved from DSP Lines to the post of ADO, DSP Headquarters. He has also been assigned the additional charge of the Home Guards Department (DCHG).
The Chandigarh Police Headquarters stated that all the officers have been directed to assume their new responsibilities with immediate effect.
