Former Punjab Chief Minister and Jalandhar MP Charanjit Singh Channi appeared for his MA examination at Punjab University (PU) on Thursday. Channi is pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the university.
The examination continued until around 12:30 pm. After completing his paper, Channi was seen walking out of the examination hall. A photograph from inside the hall showed him sitting among other students and writing his examination.
Channi’s security personnel and other staff were kept outside the examination hall during the test, allowing him to appear for the examination alongside fellow students.
63-year-old politician has an academic background in several fields. He holds BA and LLB degrees from Punjab University and an MBA from I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. In 2023, he also completed a PhD in Political Science from Punjab University.
Channi’s examination schedule also kept him away from the Congress Working Committee meeting held in Delhi on Wednesday. He did not attend the meeting due to his academic commitments.
