Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann called upon the youth of the state to shift from being job seekers to job creators, emphasizing that the government is actively building an ecosystem that encourages entrepreneurship. He assured that the state government is committed to providing all possible support to help young people start their own ventures, reducing the need to seek employment abroad.
Addressing a gathering during a “Lok Milni” event in Seneta village, Mohali, the Chief Minister said that his government has not only fulfilled its promises but has gone beyond them through decisive governance and clear intent. Drawing a contrast with previous regimes, he remarked that earlier Akali and Congress governments often cited an empty treasury as an excuse, whereas his administration has focused on delivering development without such claims.
Taking a dig at opposition parties, Mann stated that in the absence of real issues, they have resorted to making baseless personal allegations against him. He added that the opposition is frustrated by the government’s pro-people initiatives and continuous development efforts, but such criticism will not deter his administration from working for the welfare of the people.
Highlighting key achievements, the Chief Minister said that significant reforms have been made in sectors like education, power, and healthcare. He noted that the state is providing up to 300 units of free electricity to households, ensuring daytime power supply to farmers, and has already provided over 65,000 government jobs to youth. Additionally, under the Chief Minister’s health scheme, residents can avail cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Mann stated that every penny of taxpayers’ money is being used transparently for public welfare. He emphasized that the vision of a “Rangla Punjab” is being actively pursued, with development gaining momentum across the state.
