CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker S. Ajaib Singh Bhatti today extended his greetings to the people the state on the occasion of Bhagwan Valmiki Jayanti.

Describing Bhagwan Valmiki Ji as a great sage and a poet, S. Ajaib Singh Bhatti remembered noble ideals and thoughts of Bhagwan Valmiki, the author of epic Ramayana. He said that the unparallel contribution of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji emphasized the concept of social justice, equality and emancipation of oppressed groups.

He appealed to the people to inculcate teachings of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji in life.
