Reaffirming the Punjab Government’s commitment to the welfare of the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) community, Punjab NRI Affairs Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh on Tuesday interacted with Punjabis living abroad during the Government’s monthly "Online Milni", where he heard their grievances and assured timely redressal.

Cabinet Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is dedicated to ensuring transparent, fair and time-bound resolution of issues faced by NRIs.

During the virtual interaction, Punjabis from several countries raised concerns related to property and land disputes, matrimonial matters, fraud cases and other personal issues. Retired Punjab Government employees settled abroad also highlighted pension-related problems, including difficulties in receiving One-Time Passwords (OTPs) for pension verification and other technical challenges.

Dr. Ravjot Singh directed the concerned departments and officials to examine every complaint on priority and take prompt action in accordance with the rules. He also instructed officials to establish direct communication with complainants wherever necessary to ensure quicker resolution of their grievances.

Emphasizing that the Government's objective goes beyond merely listening to complaints, the Minister said the focus is on delivering effective solutions and ensuring justice for the NRI community.

He added that the monthly Online Milni has become a dependable platform for strengthening communication between the Punjab Government and overseas Punjabis. The Government, he said, will continue to protect the rights and interests of NRIs while further strengthening their connection with their home state.

Secretary, NRI Affairs Mohammad Tayyab, ADGP NRI Wing R.K. Jaiswal, Special Secretary NRI Affairs Amandeep Kaur, along with other senior officials, were also present during the online interaction.
