Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Agarwal has appealed to the state's 1 crore 99 lakh 35 thousand 770 registered voters to actively participate in the Lok Sabha General Elections scheduled for May 25, 2024 in the State. He emphasised that in a democracy, every vote counts and is valuable. Anurag Agarwal chaired a review meeting with department officers regarding election arrangements.
The Chief Electoral Officer encouraged all voters to contribute to the pride of the nation by exercising their right to vote. There are 460 registered transgender voters in the state. In Haryana, there are 76 registered transgender voters in the Ambala Lok Sabha constituency, 23 in the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency, 40 in the Sirsa Lok Sabha constituency, 11 in the Hisar Lok Sabha constituency, 37 in the Karnal Lok Sabha constituency, 44 in the Sonipat Lok Sabha constituency, 21 in the Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency, 13 in the Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha constituency, 78 in the Gurugram Lok Sabha constituency, and 117 in the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency.
Anurag Agarwal stated that the Gurugram Lok Sabha constituency has the highest number of registered voters with 25,38,463, while the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency has 24,04,733 registered voters. Similarly, the Ambala Lok Sabha constituency has 19,82,414 registered voters, and the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency has 17,85,273 registered voters. The Sirsa Lok Sabha constituency has 19,28,529 registered voters, and the Hisar Lok Sabha constituency has 17,81,605 registered voters. There are 20,92,684 registered voters in the Karnal Lok Sabha constituency, 17,57,818 in the Sonipat Lok Sabha constituency, 18,80,357 in the Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency, and 17,83,894 in the Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha constituency.

Effective action is being taken against violations of the Model Code of Conduct
The Chief Electoral Officer stated that the Election Commission of India has developed the C-Vigil app. Through this app, if citizens become aware of any violations of the Model Code of Conduct anywhere, they can register their complaints via the app. The complaint is addressed by the department officers within 100 minutes. He informed that so far, 1,666 complaints have been received by the department through the C-Vigil app in the state, out of which 1,383 complaints are valid and dealt with according to the rules. These include 348 complaints in Ambala district, 53 in Bhiwani district, 62 in Faridabad, 64 in Fatehabad, 98 in Gurugram, 103 in Hisar, 21 in Jhajjar, 34 in Jind, 33 in Kaithal, 16 in Karnal, 44 in Kurukshetra, 3 in Mahendragarh, 39 in Nuh, 38 in Palwal, 96 in Panchkula, 10 in Panipat, 6 in Rewari, 63 in Rohtak, 367 in Sirsa, 116 in Sonipat, and 52 complaints in Yamunanagar.
