Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has arrested alleged Punjabi gangster and drug trafficker Harmanveer Singh as part of Operation Hard Ball. Singh was taken into custody by California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers on the morning of July 21 in Stockton, California, just three days after the FBI placed him on its Most Wanted list.
According to investigators, Harmanveer Singh allegedly worked alongside Vancouver-based Punjabi-origin trafficker Ravinder Dhanda, who is suspected of having links with transnational criminal networks. Authorities claim the duo operated on behalf of India's Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gangs, allegedly carrying out criminal activities in exchange for money.
FBI's Los Angeles Field Office had released a Most Wanted poster featuring Harmanveer Singh on July 20, appealing for information leading to his arrest. The operation culminated in his capture by California Highway Patrol officers in Stockton.
Serious Drug Trafficking Charges
Investigating agencies have accused Harmanveer Singh of involvement in the trafficking of controlled substances, possession of illegal narcotics, and conspiracy to export narcotics from the United States. He is expected to face multiple federal charges related to organized drug trafficking.
Allegedly Used Multiple Fake Identities
FBI also alleged that Harmanveer Singh had been living under several false identities in Canada. Authorities said he was known by aliases including Hari Gautam and Harman Sandhu. A federal arrest warrant had been issued against him by the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles on June 23, 2026.
