FIFA Chief Gianni Infantino on Wednesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his sportsmanship and enthusiasm for football. Infantino shared a picture of PM Modi on social media, showing him playing football with children in Gangtok, Sikkim.
In his post, Infantino wrote, “It’s wonderful to see Narendra Modi playing our beautiful game. Football truly unites the world.”
Prime Minister Modi was on a visit to Sikkim on Tuesday, where he spent time playing football with children in the morning. Sharing the pictures on social media platform X, he wrote, “There’s nothing like playing football with my young friends on a beautiful morning in Gangtok, Sikkim.”
In another post, the Prime Minister described the session as “truly energising,” highlighting his interaction with the youth during the visit.
