Gangster Vikas Dubey's arrest in MP raised many questions on BJP govt role

CHANDIGARH: The dramatic arrest of dreaded gangster Vikas Dubey by Madhya Pradesh Police from a temple in Ujjain has raised many questions on the role of BJP governments in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

Vikas Dubey was on the run for the last one week after killing eight policemen in an encounter in his native village near Kanpur. Three of his aides were killed in police encounters during last three days.

It is intriguing that how Vikas Dubey managed to reach Ujjain from Faridabad in Haryana near Delhi where he was spotted yesterday. It is strange how he managed to travel for 14 hours during night curfew and crossed many police check posts on the roads.

The way Vikas Dubey was arrested in Ujjain, it shows the coplicity of political leaders in ruling party. BJP is ruling party in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. It appears that his political masters planned the arrest of Vikas Dubey to save his life from UP police. He would have been killed by police in an encounter if nabbed in UP.

It is also surprising that how large number of media men of TV channels managed to reach the Ujjain temple where gangster was arrested. Was media called by MP police or temple management. Why he was not immediately whisked away from the temple and allowed to speak "I am Vikas Dubey Kanpurwala'. It was aimed at telling the media that he has been arrested and now it would be difficult for police to eliminate him.

It is shameful for BJP leaders in UP and BJP that they alelgedly protected Vikas Dubey for years and now managed to save his life after killing of eight policemen. Once he is in UP he would be able to defeat all legal hurdels in the absence of eyewitnesses. With the passage of time he would be out on bail and lawyers would find ways to get him out of jail. In the past he had managed to come out on bail even after he was given life imprisonment in a murder case. He is the gangster who killed a former BJP minister in police station and still he enjoyed political patronise from BJP.
