Executive Engineer suspended, Instructions were also given to take departmental action under Rule 7

Under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, with a view to provide transparent governance to the public, the state government is taking strict action on such complaints by adopting a zero tolerance policy on corruption. In this series, taking strict action on a complaint received on CM Window, the Chief Minister has suspended Jitendra Singh Hooda, Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering Department, Division No. 2, Sonipat and also took departmental action against him under Rule 7. Instructions have been given to do so.

Giving information, Chief Minister's OSD Bhupeshwar Dayal, who is monitoring the complaints coming on CM Window from the headquarters, said that Deepak, a resident of district Sonipat, who is a contractor, has filed a complaint against Executive Engineer Jitendra Singh Hooda on CM Window for sanctioning the quotation. A complaint was lodged against them demanding 20 percent advance commission. Due to non-payment of commission, they started arbitrarily cutting rates in the quotations. Besides, it was also told in the complaint that Jitendra Singh Hooda pays huge amount to some selected contractors without doing any work.

OSD said that acting on the above complaint, a committee was constituted by the department to investigate the matter and in the investigation report of the committee, the allegations made against Executive Engineer Jitendra Singh were found to be true. Accordingly, along with suspending Jitendra Singh Hooda, instructions have been given by the Chief Minister to take departmental action under Rule 7.

Dayal said that the action taken by the Chief Minister has given a clear message that corruption will not be tolerated at any level in the state. If any such complaint comes, such strict steps will be taken in future also. He said that CM Window has emerged as a powerful medium between the government and the common people. To establish a transparent system and good governance, it is our top priority to resolve the complaints and problems registered on the CM window on priority basis.
