The Haryana Government has decided that if an MLA intends to elicit any information regarding any development project, he can meet the officer concerned in that connection at the PWD Rest House and obtain the requisite information. The Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, assured this during the recent Haryana Vidhan Session.
Accordingly, a letter was issued today by the Chief Secretary here today. The letter further stated that, however, the MLA cannot chair a meeting of officers. Besides, all the MLAs concerned with the Assembly Constituencies falling in the Sub-Division shall be informed of the "Open Darbar" being chaired by the Deputy Commissioners in the Sub-Division and not "invited" as earlier intimated.
