Health Minister Reviews Hospital Development Works in Rewari & Narnaul

Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister Arti Singh Rao chaired a high-level meeting with senior officials in Chandigarh to review the status of ongoing infrastructure and service enhancement projects in government health institutions, particularly in Rewari and Narnaul districts.

The meeting focused on expediting key initiatives related to hospital safety, construction progress, utility infrastructure, and essential facilities aimed at improving healthcare delivery and patient experience.

During the review of District Hospital, Rewari, the Minister took up the issue of the Fire NOC, directing officials to work closely with the Fire Department to ensure that all compliance requirements are fulfilled and approvals are obtained at the earliest. She also emphasized the urgency of completing the land demarcation process and directed the Deputy Commissioner, Rewari to expedite the matter.

The Minister directed the Public Works Department (PWD) to complete all ongoing repair works at the hospital by the end of July. She also reviewed the construction of the foot overbridge connecting the hospital to the trauma centre and instructed the PWD to ensure that all four lifts are fully installed and operational by July 15.

On the proposed upgrade of the mortuary, it was informed that the plan is expected to be approved by the Chief Architect by Monday, after which the PWD will prepare a detailed estimate. The Minister also issued directions to resolve the issue of waterlogging at the Rewari Civil Hospital to prevent service disruptions during monsoons.

While reviewing the functioning of District Hospital, Narnaul, the Health Minister directed the PWD to initiate re-tendering for the construction of the 200-bed hospital and begin work without further delay. She also ordered the removal of waterlogging in the basement of the hospital building and instructed that proper drainage lines be laid to prevent future issues.

Further, the Minister directed the Chief Engineer, PWD and DGHS to jointly review and finalize the revised cost estimate for the 100-bed hospital project in Mahendragarh, ensuring that progress is not hindered by administrative delays.

Arti Singh Rao said the government was committed to delivering high-quality healthcare infrastructure across Haryana and stressed the importance of inter-departmental coordination to meet project deadlines.

Commissioner & Secretary, Public Health Engineering, Mohammed Shayin, DGHS Dr. Manish Bansal, Chief Engineer, PWD, Sh. Arun Jagga and senior officers of various departments were present on the occasion.
