The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has announced the Class 12 results for 2026, with girls once again outperforming boys across streams. This year’s results highlight exceptional academic performances, with several students scoring above 98%.

In the Science stream, Shaiyla Kashyap secured the top position with an impressive 99% from Newla School, Chhatri. Sanchita Dhiman and Kanshi Sharma jointly secured the second position with 98.6%, while Tamanna Sharma, Nitin Kumar, and Vaishali Thakur shared the third spot.

In the Arts stream, Anshit Kumar emerged as the topper with 99.2% marks from PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Bhawarna (Kangra). Arushi from Government Senior Secondary School, Kanger Dharyar (Sirmaur) secured the second position with 99%, followed by Shamya Bardjatya from Government Model Senior Secondary School, Dadi (Kangra) with 98.8%.

In the Commerce stream, Yashaswani Chauhan from STD DR Public Senior Secondary School, Gagret (Una) secured the top position with 98.2%. She shared the top rank with Krishika from the same school and another student from AVM Senior Secondary School, Pehra (Kangra), who scored 491 marks. Anjali and Muskan, both from Government Girls School, Nagrota Bagwan (Kangra), secured the second position with 97.8%.

A total of 81,417 candidates appeared for the examination this year, out of which 308 were absent. While 3,352 students failed, 3,071 have been placed in the compartment category.
