Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced ₹3 crore for the construction of a science laboratory and eight additional classrooms at Government Model Senior Secondary School in Tissa, Chamba district.

The announcement came during the Chief Minister’s interaction with students, when a science student, Ishika Bhardwaj, highlighted the lack of a modern laboratory and essential equipment at the school. She stressed the need for better laboratory facilities to make science education more effective.

Taking the student's concern seriously, Sukhu immediately announced ₹3 crore for the science lab along with the construction of eight additional classrooms.

The Chief Minister received a warm welcome from students, who greeted him with applause and enthusiasm. Instead of limiting his visit to a formal program, he sat among the students, listened to their concerns and responded to questions related to education, career prospects, the education system and social issues.

The proposed infrastructure upgrades are expected to provide students with better learning facilities and an improved academic environment.
