A tragic road accident claimed one life early Monday morning in Punjab’s Fazilka district after a collision between a milk pickup truck and a Improvised vehicle near Govindgarh village on the Abohar–Malout road.
The deceased has been identified as Sonu, who was driving the jugaad vehicle towards the city at the time of the incident. According to local resident Buta Singh, the accident occurred when a milk pickup truck rammed into the vehicle from behind on the main road. The impact caused the improvised to lose control, veer off the road, and fall into a roadside ditch.
Following the incident, Sonu succumbed to his injuries. His body has been shifted to the government hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police have reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter. Sonu, a driver of a makeshift vehicle and a resident of Govindgarh, has passed away. The deceased was the only son of his parents. He has two sisters. He was the sole earning member of his household.
