The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s squad for the upcoming ODI series against Afghanistan, scheduled to be played next month after the conclusion of IPL 2026. The men’s selection committee finalized the squad during a meeting held in Guwahati on Tuesday.

Senior stars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been included in the ODI squad, although their participation in the series will depend on fitness clearance. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed that both Rohit and Hardik Pandya are part of the squad but will play only after receiving fitness approval.

The three-match ODI series will begin on June 14 in Dharamshala. The remaining matches will be played in Lucknow on June 17 and Chennai on June 20. Before the ODI series, India and Afghanistan will also play a one-off Test match in Mullanpur starting June 6.

Young players Prince Yadav and Gurnoor Brar have earned their maiden call-ups to the Indian ODI side. Hardik Pandya has also returned to the ODI setup. Meanwhile, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the series and is not part of the Test squad either.
