Jalandhar Commissionerate Police, during a special operation, has busted an illegal arms smuggling module and arrested three accused persons. Police recovered five pistols (.32 bore), nine magazines, and 22 live cartridges from their possession.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the gang was actively involved in supplying illegal weapons within Punjab. Acting on leads obtained after the first arrest near the Jalandhar bus stand, police teams carried out a follow-up operation in Gurdaspur district. From near Bhaini Paswal village, officers recovered four more pistols, eight magazines, and 18 cartridges that had been concealed.

Punjab Police stated that a zero-tolerance policy against illegal arms trafficking is being strictly enforced across the state. Authorities added that continuous action is underway to maintain law and order and dismantle such criminal networks.
