Union Health and Chemicals & Fertilizers Minister J.P. Nadda attended the second convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bathinda, on Tuesday.

During the event, he awarded degrees to newly graduated doctors and inaugurated several advanced medical machines installed at the institute. He also launched a number of new projects aimed at enhancing modern healthcare services.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials from various departments, representatives of universities across Punjab, and AIIMS Bathinda Deputy Director Prof. Dr. Ratan Gupta. The Union Minister also interacted with several participants and healthcare professionals during the event.

Addressing the gathering, Nadda highlighted the progress made in the healthcare sector over the past decade, stating that advanced treatment technologies have been introduced across the country. He said Punjab has also witnessed the launch of several healthcare-related projects in recent years.

Apart from AIIMS Bathinda, he noted that new healthcare initiatives have been established in Sangrur and Ferozepur, helping expand access to quality medical services for people across the state. He emphasized that these projects are playing an important role in strengthening healthcare infrastructure and improving patient care.
